On February 26, 2020, the central office of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange JSC was visited by a delegation of the Republic of Belarus.
This visit was organized as part of the Belarusian-Uzbek Agrarian Forum program, conducted by the Belarusian company Product B. with the support of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in Tashkent on February 25-26, 2020 .
The delegation included participants in the agrarian forum, including representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, directors, marketers, leading specialists of large companies holdings, combines, factories, factories of the food and processing industry of the Republic of Belarus.
The main purpose of the event was to familiarize guests with the exchange activities of Uzbekistan and establish direct business contacts between the business community of the Republic of Belarus, brokers and representatives of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.
Opening the meeting, Islombek Ibrogimov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of UzRTSB, warmly welcomed the guests and expressed great hope for mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation, which provides for the expansion of mutual access of Belarusian and Uzbek business circles to the commodity markets of the two countries, taking into account the use of electronic exchange trading mechanisms.
At the event, a presentation video on the activities of the UZEX exchange was shown to visitors of the exchange. In particular, the guests got acquainted with the history of the formation and development of the Uzbek exchange, commodity assets traded on the exchange, as well as the current state and long-term plans for the development of the exchange.
Employees of UzRTSB JSC disclosed in detail the specifics of each trading platform and the mechanism of functioning of foreign trading floors. Visitors were able to observe the course of exchange trading directly in the exchange room in real time.
During the event, guests were interested in the issues of participation of Belarusian companies in electronic bidding, including the accreditation of foreign clients and the procedure for settlements through the clearing and settlement house of the exchange.
In turn, the guests praised the activities of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, and at the end of the meeting expressed their readiness for further mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation.
