The press conference for media on "Information and communication technologies is an important factor in the development of exchange trading" was held at the National Press Center of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange on August 13.
The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize the media with the conditions and perspectives of modern information and communication technologies in the exchange, trade fairs and auctions of UZEX.
As it was noted during the conference, UZEX continuously holds innovative policy, aimed at further improving the exchange mechanisms in Uzbekistan with the extensive use of modern forms of information and communication technologies, as well as the trends of the world stock trading.
All trades on the Uzbek Commodity Exchange are held in an electronic form that provides their accessibility, transparency, efficiency, and improves the quality of the exchange services and the development of new exchange technologies. In particular, the exchange trades carried out in the electronic system of trading, which is connected to 800 brokerage firms, 2000 traders, as well as 13 regional offices and more than 180 marketplaces. Thus the information on exhibiting commodity, contract specifications and quotes are automatically updated on the official website of the Exchange.
With the rapid development of ICT in the world, the trend of rapid growth of alternative electronic trading platforms has been formed. Focusing on these changes a platform for OTC trading of goods online was also established in the Uzbek Commodity Exchange. Currently, the benefits inherent in e-commerce, including additional convenience for customers, lower transaction costs, and the availability of a large customer base contribute to the further growth of the number of participants of fair trading, including a significant proportion occupied by small businesses.
At the same time, the work on the diversification of exchanges and the development of new directions in the framework of large-scale government programs and projects for the development of small business as well as the formation of e-government continues to operate.
Recently, in order to create additional facilities for customers on the Exchange portal such interactive services as a personal account of the client, the broker members of public and corporate procurement, as well as price monitoring, online consultation, call-center and forum were introduced. Currently, Exchange customers can track the status of transactions and the status of their accounts in real time, can monitor the prices of commodities, and the participants of e-procurement - perform transactional operations through a personal account. Most customers use interactive services with a convenient mobile application portal.
An important role in improving the quality of customer service plays a Service call-center, established on the basis of customer relationship management. This technology allows to process, analyze and summarize the information received, on the basis of which integrated corrective actions of a systemic nature are developed. Call-center services are provided free of charge by means of a multi-channel telephone line and online.
Another innovation of this year was the launch of new trading system in early June which is called "Electronic catalog» (catalog.uzex.uz). The main objective of the system is to accelerate and simplify public procurement procedures, as well as greater involvement of businesses to them. Despite the short period of operation, the new trading system has demonstrated its effectiveness.
UZEX promising innovative projects are the following: the implementation of a separate Web site for entrepreneurs (b2b.uzex.uz), the integration of complex information systems "saccharides" in a Single Portal, improving the system of fair trades, completion of a long-term project to upgrade the IT infrastructure of the stock exchange, as well as the introduction of digital signatures, exchange activities.
