On March 20, a solemn opening ceremony of the building of the Andijan branch of JSC "Uzbek commodity exchange” after its overhaul took place in Andijan.
According to the press-service of the UZEX, the facade and the interior of the building was renewed, which in turn created a modern environment for the provision of exchange services. The facilities are equipped with modern office furniture and technological means, moreover, local area network (LAN), access to high Internet speed, electronic led display (running line) which demonstrates market quotes and many others have been improved.
At the event it was noted that one of the priorities of UZEX is the development and modernization of regional exchange infrastructure, with a goal to create additional facilities for all trading participants of the exchange, including for small businesses and private entrepreneurship, regardless of their geographic location.
Currently UZEX is a leading commodity exchange in the Republic, has successfully operating 13 regional branches and more than 130 trading floors located in the cities and districts of the Republic.
In 2014 total sales on all trading platforms of the Andijan branch has reached 233.2 billion soums, 18.3% higher than in 2013. However, the sales of goods of own production by small businesses and private entrepreneurship has increased more than twice and reached 117.2 billion soums.
The highest growth was observed in fair trading, the volume of which increased by 2.6 times to 78.4 billion soums. The volume of export transactions in the trading system increased from 2.9 billion to 8.4 billion soums. These results in turn indicate a significant increase of interest of Andijan enterprises to internet commerce.
The positive dynamics was also achieved in the system of electronic public procurement. The region's public procurement amounted to 29.1 billion soums with the growth to 2013 by 6.2%. Budget savings amounted to 8.6 billion soums against 7.5 billion soums in 2013.
