The trading week on UZEX ended lower sales | News

Last week results show a decrease in activity of the bidders in the commodity markets of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange (UZEX), which is typical for the beginning of a new month. According to the press service of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange, during the period from March 2 to 8, the volume of transactions fell by 12% and amounted to 140.6 billion soums.

On the exchange platform, goods worth 109.9 billion soums were sold, which is 78.2% of the total number of transactions. Hereby the sum of export transactions amounted to $306.2 thousand.

A similar situation exists in the system of fair trading, the number of which decreased from 27.6 to 16.4 billion soums. However, despite the reduction in the number of active bidders, the number of transactions concluded, on the other hand increased from 889 to 1263. The amount of products sold by small businesses totaled 11.4 billion soums. The biggest deal of the week on the implementation of steel pipes worth 1.8 billion soums was made in Tashkent branch.

With regard to public procurement, their volume decreased by only 3.2% to 7.1 billion soums. The amount of budget savings was fixed at around 1.9 billion soums. The share of small business in the total volume of transactions amounted to more than 99%.

The maximum amount of savings per transaction in the amount of 31.4 million soums was reached in the deal for the supply of containers in Yangiyul district of Tashkent region. Maximum number of online providers of appeals, or 30 counter-proposals received service requests for the supply of textile products.

Unlike other trading platforms, corporate purchases showed a positive trend. So, for the period from March  2 to 8, 377 deals worth 7.2 billion soums were concluded, which exceeds the rate week before by 16%. At the same time, savings of customers' financial funds exceeded 1.4 billion soums or 16.8% of the starting value of the procurement. The share of small businesses in the total volume of transactions took place exceeded 99%.

The maximum number of proposals received per application amounted to 32. The share of goods among the committed transactions made 87%, the proportion of works and services - 13%.
